After two encouraging placings at his previous two starts, Pot Black broke through for his much deserved first win on Victorian soil at Tatura yesterday. John Keating made it two wins from his last two rides for the stable following on from his impressive ride aboard Bentley Tycoon 10 days ago he backed it up with another great performance on Pot Black yesterday.
After drawing very wide, John summed up the pace of the race and had the gelding travelling comfortably behind the tearaway leaders and as they turned for home he drove through a gap and the gelding did the rest to finish strongly on the fence to get the prize. It was great to see many of the owners on track to enjoy what was a great day for the stable. A big congratulations to all involved.
